Ken Boon and Harry Crawford, two ex-firmen, start in business together. Over seven years the pair move from Birmingham to Nottingham and work at a variety of jobs, Ken working his way up from odd jobs to a priovate investigator. Harry on the other hand runs two hotels, a ballroom, a country club and finally a security firm.
