    There's always some drama or other going down at Gasforth Police Station – and that's before any criminals get involved! The uptight Police Inspector Raymond Fowler is in charge of the uniformed officers, among them his long-term and sexually frustrated girlfriend, Desk Sergeant Dawkins, dazzingly dimwitted PC Kevin Goody and the methodical PC Maggie Habib. As if managing that lot wasn't enough, Fowler clashes constantly with the bitter head of the station's loutish CID, the appositely named Derek Grim.
