Jackie, April and Laura will do whatever it takes to make it on Capitol Hill... Jackie's from New York: she wanted to a scriptwriter, but she's had to get on the political ladder at the lowest rung. Her friend from college is April, who's been in Washington since she graduated and lives a work-hard, play-soft lifestyle with boyfriend Tom that would be better suited to fiftysomethings. And Tom's developed a crush on the charismatic senator he works for. Lastly, there's small-town girl Laura. She works hard, not just in the office but also when liberal friends criticise her Republican opinions.
