2.4 was at one time the average number of children per family in Britain, and the Porters certainly seem like a typical household. Yet they somehow end up in the most unaverage of fixes! The confusingly monikered Bill is a house wife with a lot more on her plate than just a part-time catering business: Her partner and friend Rona has an alarming appetite for the opposite sex; daughter Jenny is a teenage nightmare and younger son David is always up to trouble. And heating repairman husband Bill is more like an extra kid than a helping hand!
